SUMMARY:Parallel Event at EU PVSEC 2026
DESCRIPTION:The PEPPERONI consortium is participating in organising the Parallel Event “Opportunities for Sustainable Perovskite PV Commercialisation” hosted within the framework of the 43rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC 2026), the world’s leading photovoltaic research and innovation conference, which will take place from 14-18 September 2026 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.\nCo-organized by eight other EU projects and scheduled from 13:30-15:00 (CET) on 15 September 2026, this event will explore the broader perspective on sustainable commercialization of perovskite-based PVs.\nTwo PEPPERONI partners are confirmed as speakers to present on “Empowering Future Solar Energy: Unveiling PEPPERONI’s Perovskite/Silicon Tandem PV Ambitions”: Martin Fischer, Industry Manager for Perovskite Tandem at VON ARDENNE, will discuss “industrialisation and pilot lines”, while Roberto Magnifico, PhD researcher at the University of Liège, will discuss “circularity & recycling/life cycle assessment”.\nTogether with other researchers, industry, and policymakers, they will delve on timely sub-topics such as key requirements to market uptake, including technology upscaling, pilot lines, resource and equipment needs; sustainable and circular value chains for wide deployment; LCA and acceptability; as well as policies and framework conditions for commercialization. The discussion will identify critical gaps, lessons learned and actionable pathways to enable the large-scale, sustainable deployment of perovskite PV in Europe.\nTailored for a diverse target audience interested in the topics new PV technologies, sustainability and commercialization, this event will ensure maximum outreach, high-level participation and increased dissemination by reaching 1500 international experts from academia, industry, policy and finance gathered in one place.\n     \n
