Within the PEPPERONI project, MASS is responsible for defining, developing, and installing upgrades to the cell interconnection equipment for the project’s pilot line.
Deliverable D5.5 details the development and enhancement of various tools integrated into the machine to meet specific requirements and ensure maximum accuracy in aligning wire ribbons and solar cells. The interconnection equipment has been developed enabling lower-temperature processing and improved material compatibility. The upgrades also include wire-ribbon pre-treatment, cell format compatibility, and precise temperature process control to maintain optimal conditions.
