Report on new ETL materials alternative to C60 (D6.1, M26 - December 2024)

This deliverable describes how derivatives of compound groups were synthesised, characterised, and measured regarding thermal stability, behaviour during heating, energy levels, optical properties, ease of synthesis and potential for upscaling. Selected molecules were tested at project partners facilities to optimise the structures, determine structure/properties relationships and attempt to improve performance of materials in the devices. 14 out of 32 materials were sent to the project partners for testing in perovskite solar cells (PSC). The next steps will include continuation of the work on improving existing materials that showed promise in the device testing and continued search for alternative structures suitable for application in the PSCs.
