Accelerated test strategy for tandem cells and modules (D7.1, M12 - October 2023)

The PEPPERONI project partners from Polymer Competence Center Leoben (PCCL), Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), University of Ljubljana and CSEM working on accelerated test strategies for perovskite/silicon tandem cells and modules reported on the current state-of-the-art and further development in testing procedures for (1) polymeric materials, (2) perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells and (3) modules. The research and testing strategies outlined in the report will have a significant impact on the perovskite solar cell industry. Standardised testing protocols derived from ISOS and IEC will enhance the credibility and comparability of results, benefiting researchers, manufacturers, and policymakers. The ultimate goal is to achieve stability and reliability in perovskite/silicon tandem cells for commercialisation and broader adoption. The next steps include testing industry-representative modules.
