On May 29, 2024, the Innovation Exhibition TECHNORAMA 2024 took place at Santaka Valley, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) in Kaunas, Lithuania. This annual event, organized by KTU, brings together innovation creators—students, researchers, and technology enthusiasts—showcasing the latest advancements in various scientific fields.
For the past two decades, TECHNORAMA has been a vital platform for promoting innovative technological solutions. It popularises practical scientific achievements, supports product development with financial backing, and provides opportunities for innovators to connect with investors and business representatives. This year, the PEPEPRONI project was also represented by KTU’s research group Synthesis of Organic Photoconductors, led by Prof. Vytautas Getautis. The team showcased their inventions in charge-transporting materials for perovskite solar cells.
A highlight of the event was the lecture “Organic Semiconductors for Next-Generation Solar Cells: From Idea to Commercialization,” delivered by PEPEPRONI team member – Šarūnė Daškevičiūtė and Dr. Ernestas Kasparavičius. Approximately 250 school children and other attendees were captivated by the presentation, which illustrated the journey from innovative ideas to market-ready products.
The engagement with students underscored the importance of fostering interest in science among younger generations. Through hands-on exercises and insightful presentations, the event aimed to ignite a passion for scientific exploration and innovation. By inspiring the next generation of scientists, the PEPEPRONI project hopes to contribute to a future where technological advancements continue to thrive.
