Well on track: partners meeting to discuss progress and challenges

The PEPPERONI project’s General Assembly will take place on 1-2 April 2024, hosted by Mondragon Assembly (MASS) in Aretxabaleta, Gipuzkoa, Spain. MASS is a European leader in the production of technological equipment for manufacturing solar modules, specialising in high-tech automated turnkey production lines and machinery for photovoltaic systems. With a strong focus on global-scale automated solutions, MASS plays an important role in PEPPERONI by defining, developing, and installing upgrades at the cell interconnection equipment for the project’s pilot line.

Bringing together over 25 project partners, the upcoming in-person meeting will serve as a checkpoint to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps. The agenda includes key technical sessions and poster presentations covering:

  • Tandem solar cell and module development progress
  • Advances in manufacturing tools for pilot line
  • Innovations in tandem cell process integration
  • Module integration techniques for high-efficiency tandems
  • Strategies for material scalability
  • Reliability testing through indoor and outdoor assessments
  • Communication and dissemination of project results

Beyond technical discussions, the assembly will also address project organisation and management strategies. On the second day, accelopment will deliver a Project Landscaping workshop, aimed at identifying collaborations and future opportunities within the project’s strategic grant planning.
